A visual memory of the first edition of the Festival de Cine Colombia Migrante, held in Switzerland in 2023. Centred on the theme of forced internal and transnational displacement, the festival brought together screenings, conversations, performances and institutional encounters, and laid the groundwork for the creation of MigrArte as an association.

Festival de Cine Colombia Migrante · 2023

The first edition on screen.

This trailer introduces the second edition of the Festival de Cine Colombia Migrante, the first one in Switzerland, in 2023 and centred on the theme of forced internal and transnational displacement.

It presents the festival’s broader aims: to create spaces for encounter through cinema, to connect Colombian and Latin American experiences of migration and displacement with public dialogue around the world, and to recognise the role of art, memory and culture in making those experiences visible.
