Film, migration, and human rights.

MigrArte is a Geneva-based non-profit initiative that works at the intersection of art, migration, and human rights. Through film screenings, audiovisual programming, and cultural dialogue, we aim to create encounters between stories, territories, and communities that are too often kept apart.

MigrArte

A cultural platform for migration, memory, and dialogue.

Through film and audiovisual practices, MigrArte explores migration as experience, memory, and narrative. Rooted in Latin American perspectives, we bring together diverse voices and audiences, creating spaces where cinema becomes a tool for listening, questioning, and reimagining how migration and human rights are seen and understood.

The Festival

Three years of Colombian migrant cinema in Switzerland.

For the past three years, we have hosted the Festival de Cine Colombia Migrante in Switzerland. In 2026 the project continues to grow around the same core vision: migration and human rights through the lens of film, art, and public dialogue.

Who we are

An organisation that creates spaces for dialogue.

About MigrArte

MigrArte is a cultural initiative based in Geneva, created to open spaces for dialogue on migration and human rights through film and audiovisual practices.

The project emerged from Latin American perspectives and experiences, and has taken shape through the organisation of the Festival de Cine Colombia Migrante in Switzerland over the past three years.

Through this process, MigrArte has developed as a space where cinema, memory, and migration intersect in public and shared ways.

What we do

MigrArte develops cultural and audiovisual initiatives that bring together artists, audiences, and communities around migration and human rights. Our work includes:

  • Film festivals and screenings
  • Cultural programming and public events
  • Collaborative projects with artists and institutions

Through these activities, MigrArte creates spaces for encounter where cinema becomes a tool to connect experiences and perspectives across borders.
